I guess I'm the only person on here that has never used a hi-ratio shortening. So I was getting ready to order a small 4lb bucket. Now can someone tell me how much of the hi-ratio I should use in the BCD to replace the Crisco.

Forgot to ask...Is Sweetex the best brand to use...or is there others? What is the cheapest price you have paid for Sweetex?

I use Sweetex for my Buttercream dream recipe. I don't use the whole amount though of Sweetex but only 2/3 cup, just my preference. I bought mine through Gordons Food Service. I live buy one of their stores so I just picked it up. It's normally $70 for a 50# box. However, I used a $5 off coupon and my business card and got it for $60 total.

I personally love the sweetex product when I need to use it.

Now for another stupid question. Since I've never used a hi-ratio shortening....What is the difference? Am I going to be able to tell a difference??
