I know this sounds like the 'revive fondant" post but it's a bit different.....I used the MMF recipe and went a little bananas over winter. Stayed up darn near all night making 6 different batches of fondant, thinking I would use it all at Christmas (forgetting that with 4 kids, I barely have time to think, let alone bake constructively)...

Anyway, I realize it's gross and not really edible but Good Lord! It took hours to make and I pre-colored some so I thought I would make some dummy cakes for my portfolio and wondered if any of you have successfully taken 6 month old MMF and somehow, transformed it from a ROCK to actual useable fondant. Any advice appreciated, and thank you!

You can try nuking it. Take small baseball size pieces & micro it about 10 seconds to see if it softens enough to work it thru.
I've dipped mine into egg white and kneaded it - helps too but is messyicon_smile.gif
