I can't for the life of me, figure out how to post an image under my user name. Please help!

I think your asking about your avatar. Go to your profile under "My forum Info" and at the bottom there is a section to attach your avatar.
You can either choose one from a gallery or upload one of your own.
You would upload it just like you would a cake. You didn't really say what type of problem specifically, but it may be your image is too big. You don't have a lot of space alotted, so where you have your image saved just shrink it down and save.

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I went to post a pic. and it says that it's too large, even after I resized it. It needs to be 6kb?? I sized it to 30% then 15, 10 and 1%. Still not right. Can you help?

I can;t get my image small enough. I just tried again and I can;t get it below 11kb. What am i doing wrong?????

Not sure how big your original file size was, but try drastically reducing it.
I had to just play with it. Try reducing to 75 or 80%, you only need a
small image. While downsizing your image, just keep reducing until it
looks to be about an inch, it should look like the same size as you would
expect your avatar to be.
