Do you think if I use a 9x13 for the base and a soccer ball for the butt, , will that work, I only need to feed about 23-30 people..... Thanks again...

I have never made that cake , but it seems that if you want to make the 'bum' edible you could make 2 cupcakes cut off about 1/3 of each and put them together. Use frosting like glue to hold it together. Shave off whatever you need t get the desired base shape. Then it looks like they used fondant icing to cover. ( I have found that if you freeze the cupcakes they are easier to cut or shave. Instead of tearing they keep their shape.) Hope this helps. I am an amateur.
