I'm running into "filling block" icon_confused.gif
My old stand bys are chocolate BC, raspberry, apricot.

What are some of your favorite fillings with yellow cake?
TIA,
Kathy

I love bavarian cream or chocolate bavarian cream (like a cram puff)

Strawberry is good too!

Oh yeah...vanilla pudding (mixed with 1 pkg cream cheese), pineapple and bannanas. (or each by itself.)

Okay, I know this might sound a little wierd, but I have this recipe for Flim Flam and the topping on the cake is a cream cheese/vanilla pudding mixture and then topped w/ your favorite pie filling....I love cherry. If you're filling a cake with it, you would probably have to use a light coating of the cc.pudding and then the pie filling (lightly). It's out of this world!...come to think of it, just the cc pudding would be great!

i did peaches and cream once for two cakes i made for christmas. omg, yum! apparently the one that got to sit for an extra day was better than the first one, though. I also like chocolate mousse and chocolate cookies and cream!

thumbs_up.gif Thanks to each of you. I have filed these combinations in my cake book for future reference!
I added a little cinnamon to my cake batter and am going to use apple filling on this cake.

tonedna, would you mind sharing your amaretto filling recipe?

Again, thanks, it's so nice to have helpful people so willing to share.
