Hey i just received my order and was wondering do i measure this out like Crisco. for the BC icing?? cant wait to try heard good things about it here.
You can get away with using a bit less than "regular" shortening. I don't know the scientific explanation, but somehow it "accepts" more PS than regular shortening.
I use it all the time and the recipe I use calls for 1 cup of regular shortening. I use 3/4 cup of Sweetex and it turns out great. HTH!
Sugarshack's buttercream icing recipe and tips are a great place to start. Her recipe is at http://www.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-5313-0-Sugarshacks-Buttercream-Icing.html. Her tips can be found in the Recipe section as well, just search for Sugarshack.
JanH gave a great explanation in another thread about hi-ratio shortening: http://forum.cakecentral.com/how-do-i-use-high-ftopicp-5870723.html#5870723
Thank you Awolf27 and Kwdonion, I will check it out i think i already have Sugarshaks recipe i printed it off after i order the Sweetex
