I have been hired to make a centerpiece cake to replicate the dress for a quinceanera. It is just to sit in front of the honoree mostly as decoration and to take home--not to be cut at the pary. I plan on making it the size I have seen on CC using stacked cakes (I do not have the Wonder Mold).
My question is: How much should I charge for this cake? It will be white cake coverd in fondant with piped lace in lilac or hand painted in lilac on the fondant--haven't worked that out yet. It also laces up the back and I definately want to incorporate that.
I usually charge $3.50/slice for my fondant wedding cakes and start at $2.50/slice for my carved 3-D cakes with buttercream.

Here is the website photo of the dress: http://www.marysbridal.com/quinceanera/4910.htm

Any suggestions and help on achieving this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Marcia

I'm not good at pricing this, but I can say that walmart here charges $37.97 for it, so don't charge less than that! icon_smile.gif
