Hi everyone!!!! I am trying to make gold icing....not for writing but for decorating!!! Can this be done, if so how??? I think that I have gold sparkle dust but I am reading things about lustre dust??? Do I put the lustre in the icing or after, etc. Can the sparkle dust be used??

Also, I am having problems getting my icing to be a true chocolate brown....I always end up with a nice tan. I am using Sugar Shack's BC recipe and adding 1 oz. of Milk Chocolate chips, 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder and brown icing color. It is still not a deep rich brown......can someone help me??? Thanks!!!

When I want a chocolate brown I just keep adding the cocoa until I get the color I want. Sometimes I have to add a little more liquid. HTH

i don't see why your icing wouldn't be dark enough. you've added everything that can be added. icing gets darker after it's had a chance to sit for a while.
