Are leaf cutters and leaf veiners both necessary. If I have a leaf veiner do I need a cutter or does the veiner act as a cutter also?

depends on what kind you have. the only veiner cutter that i know of is made by PME and they are a hard plastic type cutter, with a plunger that veins the leaf for you

I like an all purpose leaf veiner, then i use a variety of cutters with it.

Oh okay. If you don't mind me asking do you cut the leaf out with the cutter and then press the veiner over it to make the impression or do you press the veiner and then cut?

You can do it either way really, but generally I think people cut the leaf out, then vein, then thin.

HTH!
