Hi, I am trying to challenge myself. I want to recreate this in cake form. But how could I give the illusion of fur on butter cream or even fondant? Any ideas?

I can't get the picture to post. I am trying to make a cake of the Harry Potter Book of Monsters. (if you google it you'll get the picture)

On BC you could use the grass tip. I think it's #233

I just got my new books last night...and in Debbie Brown's Enchanted Cakes for Children book she shows you how to make grass out of green fondant. This effect may also work on brown fondant and make it look like fur. What you do is take your fondant (in the color of choice) And breatk it into different sized pieces and texture by pressing a star tip into it repeatedly, this will give the fondant a rough appearance. I hope this helps...I think on the amazon site you can view pages from the book and then you will be able to take a look at what I mean...it is page 60 in the book.

Good luck
