I am making a cake for a fund-raising event for our local Boys & Girls Club of America. The event is called "Gala in Paradise" - tropical themed. So I'd like to do something that incorporates kids and tropical. Also, it's going to be a cupcake tower with a cake on the top - I haven't decided between a 6" or 8" on top. It'll have about 250 cupcakes I'd like to use the BGCA holding hands symbol somewhere - maybe as the cake topper? Anyone have any brilliant ideas?

We bought a hibiscus cutter to make some gumpaste hibiscus flowers, and I need to get a kid-shaped cutter to maybe make some gumpaste kids. I really want this cake/cupcake tower to be a beautiful centerpiece for the dessert table so shoot me some good ideas here!
