I am going to attempt my first RI tiara & would like to put candy jewels in it. Any advice on how newbie could make candy jewels.

P.S. I would like to avoid a trip to the nearest city - 3 kids under the age of 6 is too much work!!

Melting Jolly Rancher candies into a candy mold seems to be a very popular way to make homemade jewels. There are a few posts regarding this.
