I am a cake decorator wannabe. I have made several 2-4 layer cakes, but I can never get them level. I am using the leveler you get at Hobby Lobby and it cuts and torts the cakes fine, but after I stack them, they are not level. I tried a tiered cake with dowels. The dowels were the same height, but when I put the top tier on the cake, it was way too high-had to do a border- and the bottom wasn't level so it looked off. Any advice to get this right?
