Hello, everyone! Did this cake for a friend of mine! Her daughter turned 15 and in hispanic cultures they celebrate it like a Sweet 16 here in the US.

had some trouble with the icing. I used vegetable shortening Great Value brand but because it is so creamy, I may have put a bit too much water and it was sagging in a few places, so I had to refrost some cakes over again! icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, I got it finally done. Not as smooth as I would have liked it but THEY LOVED IT!

It was really yummy too!

Yellow scratch cake, soaked in simple syrup and filled with pineapple. Top tier was filled in strawberry filling for the birthday girl.

It was plain white with fondant flowers arond the tier.

Silk flowers and babie's breath in between tiers.

Very nice! I don't see anything wrong with the frosting. Looks great!
