I found some templates online from leather tooling sites that resemble the rose pattern and belt & buckle used on this cake. Has anyone ever done that before?

I think that they would work great. Someone asked about this cake before, and it reminded me of a neighbor that used to make wallets and belts. If they are new and have not been used on anything else, I don't see where there would be a problem. Just wash them well and use them!
