I'm trying to plan a wedding in a short period of time before my fiance is sent overseas and I am stuck as to what flavors to use for the wedding cake. The icing is going to be a mix of fondant with buttercream decorations-we kind of want a different flavor from vanilla because the groom cake is going vanilla (he's having an xbox groom cake) and I just don't really know what other options there are out there. Anyways any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I had three different flavors for my wedding cake, vanilla, Carrot cake and kalua fudge (hmmm yummy). My husband's grooms cake was Red Velvet. The wedding cake flavor is completely up to you. Have fun, pick your favorite flavors. You don't have to go traditional unless you want to. BTW the carrot cake layer was GONE! I think it went the quickest. Good luck and congratulations!
