I'm in CT, and am going to make a cake for a friends wedding. It's my gift to her. I'm not a professional, just a hobby baker. She hasn't decided what hall it will be at so it's not like I can just call the hall and ask. What do I need to do to make sure the cake can be served? I only ask because I made cookie bouquets for my sister in law and the restaurant said they could not be consumed on premise and had to be wrapped (NY). They allowed licensed bakery gods in, just not home baked. They said it was against NY Health code.

As far as I know, it depends entirely on the venue, so that's definitely a question your friend should ask when she does book a hall. Good luck! thumbs_up.gif
