I have to make cookies tomorrow for my son's class. I have been trying to narrow down the icings used to decorate the cookies. So far I have narrowed my choices to:

Alice's Cookie Icing - or - Rolled Buttercream -or- Regular Buttercream

Can you please give me your experiences with using any of the above. I have thought about simply decorating them in the regular buttercream and letting it set a little bit before I package them up. I am not sure if they would smush or smudge.

Also, I like the idea of using Alice's Cookie Icing and was trying to find posts about others experiences using it, but it seems like they all got deleted.

As for the rolled buttercream ... How easy is that to actually work with? How do you accent cookies with it? I am decorating carrots and need to make the stem look like a stem. Can the rolled buttercream be put through a piping bag & tip for that effect?

Thanks to anyone who can help shed some light on this for me icon_smile.gif
