How do I use an impression mat on a square cake so that the lines match up at the corners? And also how do I do it so without leaving the impression of the edge in the cake? Does that make sense?
TIA
Carefully!!
Sorry I couldn't resist
You just have to place it in the center, then fill in each end.
LOL I never thought about doing the center then filling in. DUH!! (boy do i feel )
Thank you kakeladi, I will definately do that.
i don't worry about the lines matching up on the ends. and I am not sure what the 2nd question means... sorry ( me brain dead, LOL)

lol..too funny..
sugarshack--I wasn't sure how to word that. I see I put an extra "so" in there. Sorry When I use the impression mat how do I do it so the edges of the mat don't leave a line? It seems if I press too hard of course the edges leave a line but if I don't press hard enough, the pattern of the mat imprints too light. Is it just a matter of learning how hard to press it or is there a trick to it?
Gotcha!
Do not use the last inch or so on each end of the mat. press in everything but that last inch or so. then take the mat off, line up the pattern and repeat....
did that make sense?
I'm glad I stumbled on this thread -- I had the exact same questions!! Thanks everyone!
That does make sense ! Sometimes I think I make things too hard . Thanks so much!!!! I'll let you kow how it goes.
