Absolutely! Go to the Galleries tab at the top of every CC page, and once you're there click "Last uploads" - it shows you every cake loaded, beginning w/most recent.

When considering the mystery of a cake that has faves vs. one that doesn't, don't forget, oftentimes people save a cake because it has some relevance for them, namely: an idea they may want to draw upon for the future. People sometimes just ooh and ah over a great cake and leave with a smile on their face...but then they'll Favorite another because it has an element that they think they might try. For example, you might see a nice simple buttercream baby shower idea with tons of saves because it just hits the right note for people, maybe the border is nice or they like the layout of the text and image...whereas some of the most amazing golf cakes (no I don't mean mine LOL) get few saves because no matter how good the cakes are few people have cause to do a golf cake, so they don't save it...does that make any sense??

I think if you could categorize and organize your Favorites you'd see a lot more people saving cakes just because they're cute, cool or beautiful but if I saved every cake that I thought deserved some special recognition I'd never be able to find anything in my Faves (it's already nearly impossible as it is). That's why I love this thread, at least I get to see some great ones that flew by.

I have gotten to see some beautiful cakes thanks to this thread that I would not have otherwise seen. Thanks so much for posting.

Here is one that I put my heart and soul into. The crib is based on the Little Miss Liberty crib my son had as a baby. The baby girl in the crib is based on a picture I took one night of my daughter asleep in her bed. She refuses to wear PJ's and looked so cute with her butt hanging out.

I was especially pleased that I managed to make the mobile work. TFL

The other one was my forst purse cake and I thought I did a good job. No one seemed to see it so I guess it got posted during high traffic.

Hi everyone! Here are three of my undernoticed cakes (besides from the Critique Subgroup Members and a few of my buddies). One of them I uploaded on Saturday and thought for sure it would have had more views than this and the other was uploaded over a month ago.

Great cakes everybody!
I just finished my first wedding cake and when I uploaded it I never saw it on the front. Oh well. Hope you like it. The second one is for my nieces first birthday. First time using fondant! Had so much fun!!! Critics and comments please! Both are the first and second listed in my photos. My computer won't upload it as an attachment for some reason. TFL!

Here is one that received only 3 comments and I was really pleased with how it turned out. It is a copy of a Martha Stewart/Wendy Kromer cake.

I didn't even realize there was an uncommented section of the gallery. I'll be speding some time there later. Here are a few of my cakes that I expected to get more of a reaction...

Only gallery support members are allowed to view the uncommented gallery. Once you have 100 forum posts you can subscribe to the group and eventually they should approve you and you will get access to that page.

Hey everyone!

I am really surprised this hasn't had many views (48 to be exact) since I uploaded it more than 24 hours ago. If it weren't for the CSM group that I belong to, this cake wouldn't have any comments either icon_cry.gif It probably doesn't help that I uploaded it at 3 am in the morning yesterday....probably not many people on at that time (even given the different time zones).

I am very pleased it with. Yes, I contimplated adding some red to it to break up the black and white, but didn't know where to put it so I added some flowers on the bottom to help. I'm guessing that wasn't enough color. icon_lol.gif

I understand how everyone is feeling. There are so many wonderful cakes uploaded daily that I know it is hard to see all of the new cakes. I do appreciate the few comments and views I get. I just hope that as people search for specific cakes that they will find mine and be inspired or take an idea from one of them. I don't really care about people marking as favorites. I figure people only use that as a tool to get back to cakes that they plan to use something from. I plan to look at last uploads and try leaving more comments! icon_smile.gif Please feel free to check out photos from teacherandbaker !

Here is my undernoticed cake....

I worked so hard on this over a period of several weeks. I thought it would have made the popular cakes for the day.....oh well, I still loved doing it!

Wow...that cake being undernoticed stresses the importance of the time you upload your photos. Absolutely amazing cake. Great job Kello.

I made these cakes with a leftover layer I had. I had the hardest time icing these little things but I was so happy with how they turned out. No one even looked at them!!!

Thank you all so much! What is a "bad" time to upload photos? Also, what qualifies a photo an "All-time popular" cake photo anyway? Is it a certain amount of views? If so, how many?

This thread is awesome......there are so many great works of art here!

Can I post someone else's cake here? I just thought this cake didn't get enough recognition. It looks so real and she did such a good job. Of course, I just love cactus cakes.

Daisy - Your calla's are beautiful!!

Here's one that I posted and it never even went to the front page. I posted it twice actually because I didn't like the first picture and neither made it on the front page! I just loved it, too.
