I have a cake due in two weeks. I want to do all the fondant accents in advance, the flowers/ figurines and such. What is the best way to maintain them? I don't want them to get too hard, get smoochy or too hard in the other hand. With some of the flowers I have made it seems like the color starts fading away after a couple of days. Any suggestions? I was planning to get the flowers done this weekend...

Many colors will fade in bright light, so store them out of any light source. They can be closed but NOT airtight or they will melt

a box with the lid loose should work.
