I loved to cook, and loved crafty things before I took all three courses from Wilton at Michaels. I had a very good teacher and at the end of course 3 they asked me to become a wilton teacher! Wow, was that a compliment. I didn't take on that challenge, but as people began to see my work, the word spread and people I didn't even know started calling. My first wedding cake was my sisters, and it turned out great. Weddings are pretty stressful for me, and after a while my hubby said no more. I only do for family, but now I'm interested in fondant, I don't know if Ill take a class or try self taught? I also took a gumpaste class--it seemed very hard and I didn't learn very much.
