sugarbaker,
in the recipe section there is one for a decorator's buttercream, it has a small shortening to butter ratio so it gives a light crust but is nice and soft in the middle. you can also reduce the amount of powder sugar. i've come to love it. you might want to give it a try.

Yes, sugarbaker, try IMBC. It is extremely rich, but very delicious. Mmmm. I need to get off this darned site before I blow my WeightWatchers points right out of the water!

sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but... to those who have tried this, is it too sweet or just right?

It's no problem to bring back a thread! icon_smile.gif

It was a sweet icing...sweet like traditional powdered sugar buttercream.

Some people think that is the yummiest, some don't.
