Hello all, hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
My husband bought me a airbrush powered by a propellant can. He purchased it at Michaels. Is this appropriate for airbrushing cakes? The Wilton instructor at Michaels said it would be okay, but wanted to see if anyone here has any advice?
I use this type. I have a badger. The one draw back is that the can air can ruin parts of my air brush. I have replaced it twice at $15 a small part. Never let the can tip or shake it.The line can freeze up . If the air pressure drops and the can gets cold it needs to sit for a while to warm up again. I actually just ran out of can air about five minutes ago.
When i first started airbrushing i got a giant inflatable tire. It was refilable and I could just sit on it to maintain airflow. Later i bought a cheap tank from home depot and put a regulator and gauge on it that worked way better and was refilable again and again. Now I have a compressor with an on off button, and auto on off.
