I am making a bottle cake to fee 100 people. I'll be taking 9 inch rounds and cutting them in half and then laying them on their cut edge...stacking them side by side. How many of these would I need to feed 100? Where can I find a reliable chart for this?
Thanks

I use Wilton's cutting guide to figure out servings per cake. I think a lot of people do. I can't answer for everyone.

Here's a link:

http://www.wilton.com/wedding/cakeinfo/cakedata.cfm

So a 9" cake will serve 32 people.

Hope this helps.

That chart is set up for a LAYER cake. It will take TWO nine inch cakes to serve the 32 according to that chart.
