Does anyone know how to make lemon peel curls? I tried with a vegetable scraper and a knife, but maybe I don't have the right tools. When I did get a strip of lemon peel, I wasn't sure how to make it curl up. Suggestions?

I've never curled lemon peel, but I've curled lots of other things. I roll them into a circle and let them sit in ice water for a few hours. Maybe that'll work. Whenever I need a lemon peel garnish, however, I use a nifty little tool that has four little round holes in it. The edge of each hole is sharpened like a knife. When you pull it over the outside of the lemon, it makes curly little shreds. Looks so pretty! But, when I see in my mind's eye when I read your post is strips, about a quarter-inch wide. Yes? If I'm reading it right, then maybe the ice water thing will work for you.

I do the same as Crimsicle. Roll up the peel and secure with a pin or toothpick and let sit in ice water for an hour or so.

Edited because I can't read. icon_confused.gif
