Can I use Wilton candy melts (orange) to make a ganache for the bundt cake pumpkin??? Or if you all have another or better idea please tell me about it icon_smile.gif Thanks everyone, Peggy

If you have no other choice, it will probably make a usable substitute.

However, candy color with a good quality white chocolate will taste much better.

Would you use a white chocolate such as Girahdelli's (can't say it or spell it) icon_lol.gif Or What????? icon_rolleyes.gif

Ghirardelli is really good white chocolate I think, and not too expensive. The only thing about coloring it is your going to have to use an oil base especially made for coloring chocolate or a colored cocoa powder.
Candy melts are nasty tasting I think. If you definetly want ganache then I would buy the cocoa powder and color it. Or you could always use a white chocolate clay and airbrush it. Like chocopan.

Thanks Weirkd, where can I buy colored cocoa powder? The coloring I use is Americolor or wilton paste, I guess this is not what your talking about. Am I cake decorating illiterate or what icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif
