Can I use Wilton candy melts (orange) to make a ganache for the bundt cake pumpkin??? Or if you all have another or better idea please tell me about it Thanks everyone, Peggy
If you have no other choice, it will probably make a usable substitute.
However, candy color with a good quality white chocolate will taste much better.
Would you use a white chocolate such as Girahdelli's (can't say it or spell it) Or What?????
Ghirardelli is really good white chocolate I think, and not too expensive. The only thing about coloring it is your going to have to use an oil base especially made for coloring chocolate or a colored cocoa powder.
Candy melts are nasty tasting I think. If you definetly want ganache then I would buy the cocoa powder and color it. Or you could always use a white chocolate clay and airbrush it. Like chocopan.
Thanks Weirkd, where can I buy colored cocoa powder? The coloring I use is Americolor or wilton paste, I guess this is not what your talking about. Am I cake decorating illiterate or what
