Has anyone ever made a chocolate sugar cookie that baked like the no fail sugar cookie. Wanted to ask for the best recipe before I made it for this weekend. Thanks for any help.

I make a recipe very similar to the NFSC, but about half the amount per batch. It was printed on the cardboard box that came with a Wilton 100 cookie cutter set. To get chocolate cookies, you add 3 oz. of premelted baking chocolate to the recipe. (1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 2 tsp. vanilla-original recipe calls for 1 tsp. vanilla-2 tsp. (or is it 1 tsp.?) baking soda, 3 cups flour.) The cookies spread very little, and you don't have to chill the dough before rolling and cutting.
