My First Fondant Person -- I Am Soooo Excited!

I just had to share and say a big THANK YOU to all the cc contributors. I have been wanting to try this kind of fondant modeling for a long time, but was never brave enough. I have seen so many wonderful projects on here that I finally thought I might be able to do a person. He isn't perfect (his right arm at the shoulder was a little off line), but otherwise, I'm thoroughly pleased. I even tried 2 practice men, but they didn't come out well, but thanks to cc, I didn't give up! So, thank you! And thanks for looking at my latest project.
Wowie, that's fabulous. Did you use a model or by hand. If by hand, did you have a picture to look at? I've not been brave enough yet. AND you MUST tell us how you did that fish. Great work! <<<Cheryl

I did everything by hand, and I didn't have a model. The scene was from my head. But, I did look at a magazine I have that shows the basics about making people. I got some good ideas for how to do legs and the basics torso. The fish is actually molded from rice krispy treats and then covered with fondant. It's only 1/2 a fish actually here, but I did make a whole fish as a practice. That one turned out much better in my opinion, but because I had to lay it down to dry it, one side was completely flat. I didn't think that would look very good, so I went with this idea instead. This turned out better because then I was able to place the lure in its mouth. The fish is painted with about 5 different luster and petal dusts.
THank you very much for the compliments.
