I'm making my first puppy cake this week and I'm trying to figure out:
1) how big a board I need
2) how many people it will feed
3) how much batter/ icing I might need for the cake(s)

Anyone who can offer any tips, I would greatly appreciate it!

are you making a life-size real puppy or what?

I would love to help you but the information is a little vague.
How many people do you need to serve?
Is this a 3-D cake or a sheet cake?
Provide us some mor info and you will have lots jumping in to help

I have one in my photo's...is that the one? I used 2 9" rounds and I think I put it on a 12 x 17 board.

I used 1 cake mix with 4 eggs, 1 box instant pudding, 1 c water, 1/3 c oil. I don't recall how much icing I used, sorry.

Hey sorry everyone. I forgot to go back and check "watch this forum" so I could see the responses to my post. It never does it automatically for me.

Anyway, the puppy cake I'm going to make will be based off the instructions I found here at CC. http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-541293-puppy.html

I found several pictures of these dogs, but no description on how big a board I would need, how many people it might feed, or how much batter/ icing I might need. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it![/url]
