I am trying to make red roses, but all that I manage is bright pink. I'm using Wilton's Christmas Red. The more I put in the pinker it gets.
Can any please tell me how to make it red????

The icing should set overnight or serveral hours to turn red. It is activated by light. If you are going to be up for awhile stir it every 30 min or so for a few hours. It should get darker. Black works the same way.

Change your Christmas Red to Very Red or True Red,

Mix a little icing and a lot of color, mix and let set a few minutes

Then continue to add more icing and color alternating but enough to keep the original color, until you get the desired amount you want
