Colors are going to be white and gold. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make the wings and a halo? I have done a 3-D doll cake before, but not an angel. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Could you make the wings out of edible paper, like rice paper? I think that fondant wings may be too heavy and your angel might hurt her back! Paper wings can be made fancy with feather effects and are lighter.

For the halo, I would try a little thin ring of gumpaste with gold luster dust. Then take a piece of paper clip and insert one end through the gold ring and the tape or model cement the other end to her back. If she has long hair, it would cover most of the paper clip piece.

PS I stole the idea of the halo from countless 3rd grade Christmas pageants.
