Christmas Gift Just Became Birthday Gift, Yeha!
Decorating By susies1955 Updated 13 Oct 2007 , 12:51pm by susies1955
Ok this may be weird but I always buy my Christmas gifts. LOL! I bought the KA 5 quart Artisan during the Lowe's deal and have had it set aside waiting for Christmas. My husband wanted to know what I wanted for my birthday Friday and I said "Hey, how about my KA"? He said "It's yours"! LOL!
So Friday I'll be KA'ing it while I make my own birthday cake.
WHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOO!
Susie
congratulations! what fun!!!!
only a TRUE CC'er/cake decorator would understand that it is perfectly OK to bake your own birthday cake!!!
my friends think it's sad....ha!
Sally
I know your excitement...my mom was going to get me a KA for Christmas as I am still using my grandma's very vintage Sunbeam and I worry each time I make icing. I saw one on 30% off when I was shopping one day and it was so close to what I wanted that she said "Happy Friday" right then. My problem is that I have been so busy in the last 2 weeks that I haven't been able to take it out of the box yet.
Happy Birthday.........
It's been a personal joke between me and my husband that I didn't want him not to buy me anything with a cord on it...but since I started making cakes alittle over a year ago, a kitchen aid was exactly what I wanted and got for a gift. My children have all just laughed pn how quick I changed my mind.
see my first reply.......I can't think this morning,,,,,,,,,,,I didn't want anything with a cord.........
Gals,
Thanks for the congrats.
Sally,
Yes, only a cake decorator would understand about baking her own cake. WOW, that seemed so weird to call myself a cake decorator. I love it.
You don't have any photos?
I seem to want to do a cake once a week and I didn't do one this week and I feel lost. Thankfully my birthday is coming up this week and next week is our 34th anniversary. I married him when I was TWO. LOL!
ac2steachk,
Hope you get to use yours soon. You've made some really nice cakes.
I have been using a little portable. A few times I thought I heard her crying.
sweetlycreative,
Thanks for the birthday wishes and you sure are creative with your cakes. Great job. Love them.
diamond008,
How cute that you "LET" your husband get your something with a cord. LOL!
Great cakes by the way. You sure have made a lot.
Thanks again gals,
Susie
