OK... I baked two cakes and have them frozen in my freezer... I need to decorate them tonight... What steps do I need to do to make sure my icing will not crack... They have been in the freezer for about 24 hours.. One horseshoe cake and one santa face

Let them thaw a couple of hours, and it should be fine. They dont need to thaw completely.

I just took a cake out yesterday to decorate and let it sit for about 2 hours before frosting it and it did great. HTH
