I need a syrup to put on a sponge cake to keep it moist.
Any suggestions?

start with a neutral simple syrup and go from there...something that compliments the cake you made

You can flavor with any extract or licquere (spelling) you like. Something that will complimnet the filling.

If you are needing a simple syrup recipe. I use equal parts water to sugar. Heat but don't boil. Keep in fridge when not in use. Flavor as you like.
