Hi Guys!

My nephew is having a birthday in a couple of weeks and I wanted to do his birthday cake. He will be 8 and already a GREAT little ball player. He has made the "A" team for the past couple of years....anyway, do any of you have pics or ideas for a baseball themed cake? I would prefer to do a sheet cake and something in the way of a ball field with little players.

What do ya'll think? I guess I could fumble around and come up with something, but you gals always have such cute ideas and I trust all of you gals completely since I am really new to this and have no ideas of my own.

Any help will be greatly appreciated...as always.

These are great! I noticed that one refers to Greer Softball. Would that be Greer, South Carolina? We have a town called Greer not far from here that has a wonderful football program. Just curious.

Thanks for the pics...I really like the ball field. That's sort of what I wanted to do.

i did a cake for a 3 year old baseball party a few weeks ago...maybe not as simple as you are looking for, but it was a lot of fun to do and fairly simple on the decorating side. Check out my photos for it...can't figure out how to get them in the post from my photos...

Here's one I did. A square cake carved to look like a home plate, a chocolate baseball and a gumpaste jersey:

Yes, Cakebaker. I love your cakes too. My husband has family in Coffeyville, by the way.
