Try a bit of green with a bit of black or a hunter green added.

thanks, it seems like I always have trouble with the shades of green. It seems to always come out too bright........

Try Wilton's Juniper green. Its my favorite green to use for leaves...very dark and realistic looking!

yes, juniper is very nice. YOu could use forest green (americolor) Dont use the leaf green colors, they look more like football turf green.

Remember, you can always dolly up your colors afterwards with powdered chalk or petal dust.

I use the juniper and leaf with a touch of black. But juniper by itself is pretty good.

You can always tone down any color by adding just a touch of the color opposite it on the color wheel. For green...that's red.
