Good morning everyone. I am going to attempt to make a Christmas cake. However, I'm having trouble making my pine needles look realistic. I know that you use the 233 grass tip but it just isn't turning out the way that I would like. Does anyone know if you just make one row and hope that the needles fall to both sides in the right direction or do you actually make two rows with each going in the opposite direction? Gee, don't know that made much sense icon_lol.gif I've tried both ways and each one looks kind of funky. Is there a secret to this?? This can't be this difficult icon_redface.gif Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks so much......

I'm such a perfectionist, I'd be using a small tip (like a 2) and piping them individually.

Remember to look how the pine needs grow on their base stem. For a regular pine - they grow kind of in 4 directions. For something like a long needled fir, they seem to grow like brushes around the stem. (does that help or have I further confused you)
