Hi There--

I want to make the bride of Frankenstein cake in the galleries. Could I use two 9" square pans to make her? I was thinking I could bake two cakes and cut a third off of each layer and piece them together to achieve the length of the cake. Does that make sense? Then I could ice the green area smooth (a little more than a third of the cake), and just pipe over the rest of the cake without worrying about smoothing the cake under the hair.

Thoughts?

God Bless,

that works, or if you had a loaf pan you could make 2 of those, tort, and fill. i think that would help make the cake deeper too because you'll have a tough time making 2 9in squares with 1 box mix. unless you're not using a box mix... then ignore me icon_biggrin.gif

I do have a loaf pan, but I was concerned that it's too skinny? I am going to use a mix, but I thought I may bake one mix in each pan? I think they are deep enough.
