Sweetened Condensed Milk, Caramel In A Can?! Anyone?

icon_smile.gif Can anyone direct me to the recipe for the sweetened condensed milk in a can that makes caramel? I would appreciate it. icon_smile.gif

Just place can in water. Make sure that there is at least a couple of inches of water above the can. Boil the can for 3-4 hours. I find three hours makes a runny caramel, and 4 hours makes a thick, spoonable caramel.
Make sure you top up the water every now and then. If the can is not submerged at all times, it will explode.

Yes, I also add chocholate to change the flavor and sometimes pecans.

You may also cook the milk on stovetop stirring continuously, this is the short cut....
