I use confectioners sugar when rolling fondant but doing so makes it very dry and it cracks once it's on the cake. What should I do to overcome this????

I never use powdered sugar or cornstarch for that reason. I use just a little bit of crisco on the mat and the rolling pin. Works like a charm, and you don't have the "dusty" looking fondant either.
