It's four cups -- but, you should probably use a scale if you're trying to get 1 lb. of powdered sugar, etc. 4 cups doesn't work perfectly.

I always keep a scale in my kitchen just in case. But I am sure its 4 cups.

A pound of WHAT?

A pound of feathers takes up a lot more space than a pount of lead, for instance.

A pound of butter is 2 cups.
