Short story - I thought I could fix the leaky kitchen faucet, water sprayed all over the kitchen, including my almost complete 3 tier fondant covered cake. Fortunately it is a dummy and just for practice, but I was very pleased with how it was looking, and now it has a lot of little shiny water spots on it. Is there anything I can do to remove them? If not, I guess there will be a lot more stars on it than I originally planned!!
Thanks for any suggestions.
Natalie.

I don't think you can get rid of them. But if you brush or airbrush the whole thing with water, it will all look the same. I hope something works out for you....post a pic.

I'm not sure if this will work after the water has already dried but you can rub powdered sugar on the spot to dry it up.

I use powdered sugar to fix mistakes - just rub it in very well - but gently of course. Should do the trick..

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try rubbing in a bit of cornstarch, which helped a little. Now that the cake is finished, the spots don't show too badly. Fortunately I was able to cover many of them with stars!
Here is a picture. Now I need to figure out how to do this on a REAL cake!!

Very Pretty cake. Good that you could utilise your stars in the right positions to cover up.

Thanks for the kind comments (sorry for delay, I've been away). I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.
