i am noticing that alot of people are using the smbc for their frosting - could someone give me a hint on what it tastes like? and what cakes does it complement the best? thanks!!! thumbs_up.gif

i use it on mt lychee cake and mt white cake....i think it should go well most cakes....especially with fruit.....as for what it tastes like......MMMMMMMM gooooooodddd....butter...some people think they are eating a slab of butter... i like that it is smooth and yummy.

Light and creamy. I have had no one say that it taste like butter. They ask if it is whipped cream type icing--Go figure! A little different to work with and does not crust.

It is very light, and less sweet than powdered sugar based buttercream. No greasy mouth feel that you get from Crisco either. I cut the SMBC amount of butter to 3 sticks, or 12 oz.
4 sticks was just too buttery tasting for me.
