Does anyone charge extra for these on wedding cakes? I'm thinking like the ones I did in the Wilton course 3 tiered cake? I have someone who is looking for a quote with these roses cascading down the tiers and i remember it too me hours ahead of time to make them for the course. What would be a reasonable price to charge for these? Any ideas?

Most definetly charge extra for those buggers!!!! Theyare very time consuming considering you have to make each step and let them dry in between time. I charge about $3.00 each for them and that is probably way to cheap.

I charge $2.50 a slice but anything with handmade flowers I charge $5.50 a slice starting out. Heck yeah! Charge for them.

Wow, that is good to know ~ extra for gumpaste, I didn't even think about that. I am working on my first ones now for a cake and any extra is well worth it - these are hard to get the hang of. icon_smile.gif

Silver, what do you consider a "handmade" flower. You mean one that is not RI or BC?

Yes. I will usually make RI or BC flower(up to 20) for the cost of the cake but fondant/gumpaste flower are very time consuming and I will charge a premium price for them.
