A girl ordered a cupcake tree style wedding cake from me with a 6" top tier for cutting for her wedding... typically I don't provide the serving tools for the cake, only the cake and the stand (with deposit, of course). But I didn't get to clarify whether the girl wanted me to provide the serving tools or not.
Since I'm just starting out with all of this, could anyone let me know whether or not it is customary for the cake decorator to provide the serving tools?
Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

no-you would not normally provide them. Typically a bride will have servers from her parents or grandparents weddings or her mother will have bought her new ones and had someone put a pretty bow or flowers in her colors on them.

The cake knife is frequently a present and engraved with names and date.
