Whoo Hoo Just Got a Positive Feedback from a client! I did a cake over the weekend and I just got positive feedback from a client and I wanted to share my joy! On Yahoo Local there is a place to put comments about you. I was honored to have a client of mine say such positive things about my cakes. The link is here if you want to check it out.

That is great! I looked at your site and suprised there aren't dozens of those comments about you. Your cakes are amazing!
Congratulations!!!! Your cakes are so gorgeous and elegant!!!
One of the comments mentioned your great tasting fondant. Would you be able to share with us what brand you use or the recipe ?
I used 1 package Save-a-lot brand marshmallows, I know that this sounds cheap, but they taste better than any other brand and why not save some money. I add a little water, butter flavoring, and a half a melted stick of butter and put this in the microwave for 1 minuite. I never measure anything, I am from the south and everything I cook I never measure, sorry I cannot be more helpful on the measuring part. If I had to guess though, 2 table spoons of water and 2 table spoons of butter flavoring. I also use real sweetened butter I get mine from the Amish store. This is straight butter from the farm. I have never used anything else, however you can try using store bought butter. This Fondant is very spongy. I let it sit for about 15 minute and let the butter kind of harden, then work it up with 1 pound of powdered sugar. I hope that this works out for those who try it. It can be hard to work, so when it gets all kneaded up I let it sit for about 15 mins again and then work it up again with some more sugar. If this type of butter is available to you then buy some I also use this type in my butter cream icing. For the BC I use 1 whole stick softened, and 1 C. of Crisco, 1 pound of powdered sugar 2 tablespoons of water and 2 tablespoons of butter flavoring (guess) First mix water, Crisco, butter, and butter flavoring, Oh yea I left out vanilla extract about 1 tablespoon of that, mix all of this together until the butter had no clumps and then add the sugar very slowly. I usually add more water when I need it. This is probably what all of you all use. Nothing very special.
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe!
I always hesitate to use fondant since so many people turn their nose up to it. I'll definitely give this one a try.
