Need Ideal For 60Th Birthday With Butterflies

I got an order from a ladies daughter for her 60th birthday. she wants two stacked cakes carved into butterflies does anyone have any ideals. Because I can't think of anyway for it not to look kiddie. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

There is a carved butterfly cake in the gallery...search butterfly cake.

If she wants it carved the design is there....

I would do an intricate butterfly wing design and use piping gel that you color to go with the picture of the butterflies wing and outline with black buttercream. If she wants 2 just design each cake with adifferent pattern but make sure they kinda compliment each other.

I would go for a Victorian look. Add some Victorian roses, lace and ribbons around them.

could you call her back and suggest making butterflies out of rice paper royal icing, or gumpaste. I agree that the carving would be a little kiddy unless you make a monarch butterfly or something that is totally exact to a real butterfly.
