Hi everyone,
Another cake ball question!
I have lots of orders for cake balls. I've been freezing them so that's fine.
Now I want to know how far in advance I can coat them in candy melts and let them sit out before I deliver them? I'm not using anything that needs refrigeration.

I can't imagine me sitting up one night dipping 200 balls!

Thanks.
Phyllis

Sorry if this sounds dumb, but what are cake balls?

I would think at least a day-but that's just a guess.....

I don't see why you can't dip them a couple of days in advance. they are pretty moist and the chocolate should seal the cake and keep it from getting stale.

I thought a few days would be okay too, but I just thought I'd check with the experts!

Thanks for the info!

I made some for a order last friday. Well the guy forgot to pick them up from my husband before he left work. My husband left them at work all weekend and the guy picked them up today monday and they were fine.

I make my cake balls dipped and all and put them in the freezer. I just took some to neighbors and family after they had been in the freezer over a week. Everyone was in ah. Half say they prefer them frozen and the other half liked them better once they defrosted. thumbs_up.gif

I've found they last for about 5 days dipped, also depends on the weather and if they are in the fridge, freezer or left out.
