Has anyone ever done a FBCT on a 3-D shaped cake? I am needing to apply a small picture onto a Sports Ball cake. Since I have never done this before, I was wondering if it was possible or if there was a better way to do it since it is not a flat surface that it will be applied to.

Any tips??

Thanks!

my idea would be to do the bct on the sports pan, and freeze it on there too. So it will be curved the way you need it to be on the cake. thats all I can think of! Hope that helps!

I did this with my basketball cake using an edible image. You could do it with wafer paper and edible ink markers. Food doodlers work great and the wafer paper is a little transparent so you could trace the image.
